Refresher course opened for Lao military women

Lao Defense Attaché to Vietnam Vongxay Inthakham and Deputy Chief of the GDP’s Department of Political Affairs Senior Colonel Ngo Thi Le, and Head of the Military Women Advisory Senior Colonel Phung Thi Phu, attended the event.

During the course, 19 Lao trainees will be introduced to 12 topics on women's work and have an opportunity to exchange and share experience on the work and women's movement in the military. Trainees will also tour outstanding models of Vietnamese military women and visit historical relic sites in the country.

The course not only raises trainees’ awareness and competence but also gives them a chance to learn more about the country, people and the Vietnam People’s Army.

Besides, the course contributes to raising the effectiveness of women's work in the two militaries, meeting all requirements of military building tasks in the current context. Moreover, it also promotes the traditional friendship, solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two defense ministries.
