An overview of the closing ceremony

The event was attended by Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Vietnamese PAN Senior Colonel Ngo Anh Thu, Deputy Head of Unit 871 Senior Colonel Vu Quoc Huy, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Lao People’s Army Newspaper Lieutenant Colonel Khonesanvanh Xayalath.

Addressing the event, Senior Colonel Ngo Anh Thu underscored that during nearly one month of the course, the PAN shared experience about journalism and press work, as well as experience to raise the position and prestige of military press agencies in the digital age.

The PAN leader affirmed that thanks to the support of the PAN’s Chain-of-Command and Unit 871 under the General Department of Political Affairs, functional units of the Ministry of National Defense, the course ended successfully. It served as one of the outcomes of the cooperation program between the two countries’ General Departments of Political Affairs in general, and the two newspapers in particular.

For his part, Lieutenant Colonel Khonesanvanh Xayalath thanked the PAN for creating favorable conditions for the Lao delegation during the course and their stay in Vietnam.

He also stressed that they were warmly welcomed like brothers. In addition, they were equipped with valuable press knowledge from Vietnamese instructors and underlined that they would apply what they have learned in the course to reality, contributing to developing the Lao People’s Army Newspaper.
