Specifically, he stressed the need for diplomats in general and defense diplomats in particular to constantly improve their capabilities amid the complex global and regional developments to ensure national interest.

Globalization, peace, and cooperation remain major trends in the world, leading to a surge in foreign relations activities and demanding greater modernity and professionalism in diplomatic work, stated Gen. Hieu. Consequently, diplomats must continually enhance their skills to meet the evolving demands of their roles.

The major general expressed his hope that during their course in Vietnam, the Cambodian military officers have gained useful knowledge and experience to improve their professional capacity and wished that the Cambodian officers would creatively apply what they have been equipped to successfully fulfill their assigned duties.
