Speaking at the opening ceremony, Major General Nguyen Van Chinh, Deputy Chief of Office, underlined that over the past time, defense cooperation between Vietnam and Laos has been strengthened and remained an important pillar of the two countries’ great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation.

Gen. Chinh said that the refresher course will provide Lao troops with basic knowledge on archival work and the application of IT to their tasks. On this basis, the trainees will apply acquired knowledge to raise the quality and efficiency of archival work, contributing to accomplishing all assignments at their units and agencies.

Apart from knowledge on archival work, Lao troops will have a chance to do research on the digitization of documents, methods of sterilization and deacidification, and the process of restoring documents, among others.
