Refresher course on archival work opened
PANO - The General Department of Technical Services (GDT) opened a three-day training course on archival work and classified document storage on July 13 at the Central Technical Vocational Training School.
Second-in-Command and Chief of Staff of the GDT Major General Phung Ngoc Son and Deputy Head of the Ministry of National Defense’s Office Major General Nguyen Van Chinh attended the opening ceremony.

During the three-day event, 90 GDT’s archivists will be equipped with contents of the Ministry of National Defense (MND)’s Circular No.125 on seal samples, seal engraving, registration, management, and use stipulated for agencies and units at all levels.
They will also learn about the MND’s Circular No.166 on keeping the State secrets in the Ministry of National Defense, and the GDT’s Regulation No.789 on sending and receiving electronic documents with digital signatures, and making, and saving electronic records for archive at the GDT’s affiliates.
In addition, the participating archivists will embrace documents on the protection of State secrets, the MND regulations on storing classified documents, and regulations on information security for military computer networks and response to recommendations and proposals by agencies and units.
The course aims to improve participating archivists’ expertise to meet task requirements in the new situation.
