Refresher course on archival work opened for Lao troops
PANO – The Office of the Ministry of National Defense, in coordination with Unit 871, on October 10, launched a refresher course on archival work and information technology (IT) application for officers and cadres of the Lao Ministry of National Defense in 2022.

During the event, Deputy Director of the Office Major General Nguyen Van Chinh underscored that the course aims to provide the Lao troops with basic knowledge on archival work and the application of IT to their tasks. On the basis, the Lao troops study and apply the learnt knowledge to raising the quality of archival work, while contributing to enhancing the special relationship and solidarity between the two countries.
During the one-month course, 23 Lao trainees are not only equipped with knowledge related to archival work, but also have a chance to learn more about the Vietnamese country, people, and military.
In turn, Head of the Lao delegation Lieutenant Colonel Sonethavy Chanthathoumma held that this is a good opportunity for the Lao officers to receive basic knowledge on archival work and the application of IT. He affirmed that the trainees would actively promote and apply the knowledge to their assigned missions, while continuing to cultivate the special solidarity between the two peoples and the two militaries.
