The working delegation checks the preparation for the Vietnam International Defense Expo 2024.

The opening ceremony is scheduled to feature an aircraft performance, martial arts demonstrations by the commando force, and a performance involving 80 service dogs and 80 handlers.

The exhibition, scheduled to take place this December, will showcase various types of weapons, technical equipment, dual-use products, and domestically produced defense and logistics technologies. As of November 8, over 140 units and companies from 27 countries have confirmed their participation in the exhibition. Compared to the first edition, this year’s exhibition has expanded with an additional 239 booths, surpassing the target. To date, 40 international delegations, including defense ministers, chiefs of general staff, commanders, and deputy ministers of defense, have confirmed their attendance at the event hosted by Vietnam.

During the inspection, Deputy Defense Minister Hoang Xuan Chien urged forces to both ensure security and safety and create an open and accessible space utilizing smart technology to emphasize the spirit of friendship and cooperation.

He also stressed the importance of aligning the exhibition’s framework with the upcoming activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam People's Army, ensuring appropriate timing and convenience.
