Preparations for 8th Vietnam-China Border Defense Friendship Exchange checked

The event is scheduled to take place in early September in the provinces of Lao Cai (Vietnam) and Yunnan (China).

The Ministry of National Defense delegation and local leaders check the preparations at Lao Cai International Border Gate.

The working delegation was joined by representatives from the Chinese Military Attaché's Office in Vietnam, the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee, and relevant agencies and units.

The delegation visited several set locations within the framework of the 8th Vietnam-China Border Defense Friendship Exchange, including Lao Cai International Border Gate, the Border Guard Station of Lao Cai International Border Gate, and the Lao Cai Provincial Conference Center.

After the inspection, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien chaired a meeting at the Lao Cai Provincial Conference Center to make conclusions on the contents for the exchange. During the meeting, Gen. Chien commended relevant agencies and units for overcoming challenges to carry out the preparations. He also gave conclusions on various matters, including the exchange’s agenda, transportation, medical services, security, and safety for the participating forces.

On this occasion, the Deputy Minister of National Defense expressed thanks to Lao Cai Province’s leaders for the close collaboration and support throughout the preparation process of the exchange program.
