The fruitful results were highlighted at a conference on February 22 in Ho Chi Minh City to review the coordination between MR7 and the Veterans’ Associations of the city and provinces in 2016, under the chair of Major General Nguyen Minh Hoang, MR7’s Deputy Political Commissar.

 The conference
Other achievements included successful organization of 102 training courses for civil self-defense, militia and reserve forces; job creation for over 2,300 demobilized enlistees; mobilization and donation of more than 100,000sq.m for the building of new-style rural areas; building and repair of 478 houses for poor veterans; financial  assistance for  over 10,000 needy veterans in  their production; free health checkups and medicines provided for more than 6,300 poor people and policy beneficiary families; search and collection of 81 sets of martyrs’ remains; and encouragement of 676 students to return school.

Notably, MR7 and its coordinated units introduced and admitted 1,142 people to the Party; induced 322 violators to give themselves to the police; bettered education of tradition and actively fought hostile forces’ “Peaceful evolution” plots; and built safe localities, strong whole-people defense and firm defensive areas.

Also at the conference, delegates discussed measures to boost their coordination this year. Accordingly, they focus on studying thoroughly the resolutions of all-level Party congresses, closely following local situations, being active in giving recommendations to local Party committees and authorities, drawing lessons, exchanging information and handling emerging issues suitably.
