Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh speaking at the working session
At the meeting, General Vinh praised achievements obtained by the MR’s armed forces over the past time. Accordingly, military units worked with other forces to grasp local situations, making contributions to maintaining political security and public order as well as building firm defensive areas. They regularly exchanged information with neighboring countries’ armed forces, opened training courses to raise professionalism among officers, organized joint patrols along the shared border, as well as provided  free health check-ups and medicines for locals in border localities.

Vinh said that in the coming time, MR7 should promote training and combat readiness, build comprehensively strong units, work with other forces to effectively popularize the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and law to troops and locals, foster friendship with neighboring countries and organize practical activities to build a peaceful and stable borderline.

The same day, General Vinh was briefed on the results of the first Khmer language training course and relevant units’ preparations for the second one. Accordingly, all the trainees of the first course met requirements.
