MND inspects preparations for border friendship exchange program
PANO - Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, member of the Party Central Committee, permanent member of the Military Central Commission and Deputy Minister of National Defense, on November 11 chaired a meeting to review the preparation for the fifth Vietnam-China border defense friendship exchange to be held in Cao Bang (Vietnam) and Guangxi (China).
At the meeting, leaders of relevant agencies and units under the Ministry of National Defense (MND) briefed Gen. Vinh on the progress of the preparation for the fifth border friendship exchange program such as location, contents of the program, security plans, and information dissemination activities.

Speaking at the event, Gen. Vinh emphasized that the Vietnam-China border defense friendship exchange is an important event, contributing to promoting the bilateral defense cooperation in particular and the relationship between Vietnam and China in general. Therefore, relevant agencies and units of the MND should actively coordinate with the involved local authorities to continue reviewing and speeding up the preparation to ensure the successful organization of the fifth Vietnam-China border defense friendship exchange, he added.
On the other hand, the Deputy Minister also pointed out the necessity to promote information dissemination on mass media inside and outside the army, so that people of the two countries better understand about the importance and practical significance of this event.
