First Vietnam-Laos border friendship exchange to boost solidarity
PANO - The first Vietnam-Laos border friendship exchange will take place from July 22 to 24 in the Northern province of Son La, announced the Border Guard Command at a press conference in Hanoi on July 12.

The first event will see the participation of representatives from the Border Guard of Vietnam, the Lao Border Guard Department under the General Staff of the Lao People’s Army, and the General Departments of Police and Public Security under the Lao Ministry of Public Security.
The three-day friendship exchange features a series of significant activities, including a joint patrol at Marker 255 and Marker 256 near the Long Sap border gate, martial art performances, inauguration of a military-civilian infirmary, provision of free health check-ups for locals, and presentation of scholarships to needy Vietnamese and Lao students with excellent academic records .
These activities aim to foster solidarity and traditional friendship between the Vietnamese and Lao peoples and border guard forces as well as to strengthen their collaboration in building a borderline of peace, friendship, cooperation and development.
