MMU’s Director Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Kien and Kanazawa Medical University’s Director Miyazawa Katsuhito co-chaired the event.

Addressing the ceremony, General Kien expressed his delight at the reception for the Japanese delegation. He affirmed that the signing ceremony proves the effective and pracrical cooperation between the two universities, paving the way for both sides to continue to conduct cooperation contents in the time ahead.

The two schools have effectively implemented the cooperation agreement signed in 2008 in many fields, such as training, scientific research, and delegation exchange. Both sides successfully cooperated in research on the effects of dioxin exposure on human health. Scientists from the two universities have jointly published 30 articles in international scientific journals.

Many experts from the Japanese school attended and reported at conferences held by the MMU. In education and training, Kanazawa Medical University received eight postgraduate students from the Vietnamese school. Seven of them have graduated and are working in Vietnam.

General Kien hoped that the bilateral cooperation would be further implemented according to cooperation contents, in line with reality and current context.

During the ceremony, both sides signed a cooperation agreement on basic contents, such as education and training, scientific research, and delegation exchange, among others.
