Lao officers extend Tet greetings to Vietnamese troops
PANO – A delegation of the Military Command of Laos’ Champasak province visited the Military Command of Vietnam’s Quang Ngai province prior to the coming Lunar New Year (Tet) festival on January 14.
In a joyful and friendly atmosphere, the two sides informed each other about their achievements in developing the socio-economy and implementing military-defense tasks in 2019.

The Lao officers took this occasion to thank people and the armed forces of Quang Ngai for supporting Champasak province over the past time, particularly in consolidating defense-security.
Their cooperative activities have considerably contributed to the friendship and solidarity between Quang Ngai and Champasak as well as between Vietnam’s Military Region 5 and Southern provinces of Laos.
Colonel Bunmac Vilavong, Deputy Commander of the Champasak provincial Military Command, wished a happy New Year to troops and people of Quang Ngai.
In turn, Senior Colonel Nguyen Tan Lam, Commander of the Quang Ngai provincial Military Command, wanted the two provinces’ armed forces to further expand cooperation in order to fulfill each side’s tasks, contributing to the long-standing Vietnam-Laos ties.
