At the reception, Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Duyet expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation of the Lao People's Army to visit the Hanoi Capital Command. Briefing the visiting delegation on information related to Hanoi and the capital city’s armed forces, Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Duyet said that in 2022, thousands of political and diplomatic events and important celebrations of the Party, State, and the Capital have been organized in Hanoi

In 2022, the Hanoi Capital Command has actively advised the municipal Party Committee and People's Committee to promulgate guidance on defense and military work, directed the enlistment, well organized conferences and implemented action programs on defense and military work in the locality, strictly observed combat readiness regulations, firmly grasped the political security and public order situation, protected the safety of nearly 2,000 important political events, promptly mobilized forces and vehicles to respond to natural disasters and fire and explosion incidents and conduct search and rescue in the locality.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Duyet believed that the refresher course for the Lao People's Army delegation would be a great success, contributing to fostering the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in general and the bilateral defense cooperation in particular evergreen and sustainable.

For his part, Lieutenant Colonel Aphay Aphayavong expressed his admiration for the achievements that the capital's troops and people have made in the struggle for national liberation as well as the current national construction and development.

Lieutenant Colonel Aphay Aphayavong said that the members of the Lao delegation admired the feats-of-arms obtained by the capital city’s troops and people in the 12 day-and-night campaign in late December 1972. He expressed belief that the Hanoi Capital’s armed forces will continue to develop strongly, contributing to maintaining political security and public order and developing the capital’s socio-economy.

Earlier the same day, the delegation of the Lao People’s Army visited B52 Victory Museum and the Hall of Fame of the Capital’s armed forces.
