Japan, Vietnam exchange new medical techniques
PANO – A delegation of Japanese doctors’ delegation, led by Director of Juntendo Hospital Prof. Anamo Atsushi, visited Ho Chi Minh City-based Military Hospital 175 under the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense on August 9.
The two sides discussed a number of cooperation fields, particularly in education and training and transferring techniques on infectious diseases, traumatology, cardiovascular and cancers. The two sides agreed to send their staff for short-term refresher enhancement courses in the two hospitals.

For their part, Prof. Anamo Atsushi and other Japanese delegates spoke highly of the Vietnamese military hospital’s treatment, scientific research, technology application, and development planning. They pledged to work with their Vietnamese counterparts to map out more concrete potential cooperation programs.
After the meeting, Japanese doctors performed a heart operation to a patient who is under treatment in Military Hospital 175.
