The Indian crew-members were received at the port by leaders and representatives of both sides, including Vietnamese representatives of Naval Region 3, Department of Foreign Relations under the Ministry of National Defense, Office of the Military Region 5 Command, Da Nang provincial Border Guard and Military Commands, and the Department of External Affairs of Da Nang and Colonel Paranvir Singh Punia - Indian Defense Attaché to Vietnam.

During the visit to Da Nang, the crew-members will pay courtesy calls to leaders of the city’s People’s Committee and the Naval Region 3 Command, join a friendly volleyball match with troops of Naval Region 3 and meet with students of Da Nang University. The Indian naval troops will join Vietnamese counterparts in a bilateral maritime field training exercise before leaving Da Nang.

The visit of the Indian naval ships this time aims to enhance cooperation, mutual understanding and trust between the two militaries in general and the two naval forces in particular, contributing to further fostering the traditional friendship between Vietnam and India.
