Indian naval ship visit Ho Chi Minh City
PANO - The INS Sumedha numbered P58, an Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) of the Indian navy , docked at Ho Chi Minh City Port and on January 12, beginning a three-day visit to Vietnam.
The ship with 214 officers and crew members on board, led by Lieutenant Colonel Shailendra S Rawat, will exchange some activities with the Vietnam People's Navy.
Attending the welcome ceremony were commander of the Brigade 125 of Naval Region 2, representatives of the Department of External Relations of Ho Chi Minh City and Indian Defense Attaché to Vietnam.
During the program, the Indian delegation will pay a courtesy visit to Naval Region 2, participate in sporting exchanges with troops of Brigade 125 of Naval Region 2 and visit some places of the City.
This activity of the INS Sumedha aimed to strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries' armed forces in general and the two navies in particular, contributing to promoting the bilateral ties of the two nations.
