The purpose of the visit is to enhance cooperation, mutual understanding, and trust between the two armed forces in general and the two navies of Vietnam and India in particular.

During the visit, the Indian naval officers and ship commanders will pay courtesy calls on the Naval Region 4 Command and the Naval Academy.

The Indian ship's troops will also participate in sports competitions with the officers and soldiers of Naval Region 4 and visit local historical and cultural sites. Additionally, the Indian corvette will conduct joint drills at sea with ships of the Vietnam People’s Navy.
