India appreciates strength of Vietnamese Army
PANO - Vietnamese troops are very powerful and good at fighting on different terrains. In wartime, they gained remarkable glorious feats of arms. Troops of the 2nd Combat Battalion Kalipanghwin under Regiment Maratha of the Indian Army would like to exchange and learn combat experiences from the Vietnamese colleagues, making contributions to strengthening solidarity and relations between India-Vietnam Armies.

The statement was made by Senior Colonel Dayanand Sharma, the battalion’s Commander during a reception for the delegation of young officers of the Vietnam People’s Army on March 8.
The host said that the battalion has attached much importance to promoting its young troops’ self-study and determination to overcome all challenges, raising their physical strength and professionalism, and developing their adaptation skills. As a result, the unit successfully fulfilled its assigned missions, becoming a unit with rich traditions of the Indian Army.
The two sides affirmed that Vietnam and India share some similarities in training. The battalion has focused on promoting the important role of young officers and troops through shooting and military equipment management clubs and tactical exercises which helped raise troops’ will and aspiration to acquire knowledge, boost their physical strength, and to become the mainstay of their families and homelands. Meanwhile, detachments of the Vietnam People’s Army have paid attention to strengthen the significance of youth committees through regular youth activities and movements. Many young officers obtained remarkable achievements in study, training, combat readiness, production, national sovereignty protection, and natural disaster mitigation, making contributions to political stability and national development.
Colonel Dinh Quoc Hung, the Vietnamese head delegate said that Youth Committees in the Vietnam People’s Army have proactively raised youths’ political stance and determination to deserve to be the vanguard force.
