In recent years, provincial agencies and units have actively carried out the committee’s plans, assigned responsibilities, and focused on key tasks, such as border gate planning, upgrading the Chi Ma (Vietnam) – Ai Dian (China) crossing to international status, promoting the official opening of the Binh Nghi (Vietnam) – Ping’erguan (China) crossing, and accelerating the pilot smart border gate project.

Lang Son province and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region signed a memorandum of understanding confirming the location, category, opening schedule, operating hours, and upgrade of the Chi Ma – Ai Dian crossing, including the Co Sa – Na U clearance route, to an international border gate.

For the Binh Nghi – Ping’erguan crossing, Lang Son province is continuing coordination with Guangxi authorities to complete procedures for its official opening as a bilateral border gate, including the route in the area of Marker 1035.

Regarding the pilot smart border gate project at Huu Nghi International Border Gate, Lang Son has recorded positive progress, including the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Guangxi on regular meetings and exchanges, as well as the establishment of hotlines and focal points for coordination.

To facilitate cargo clearance, the province has maintained the “Green Lane” for rapid customs clearance of agricultural products through the area between Markers 1088/2 and 1089, while piloting two-way cargo transport on dedicated routes under the Huu Nghi – Youyi Guan international border gate pair.
