Corps 15 extends greetings on Bunpimay Festival to Lao people

Senior Lieutenant General Saichay Kommasith, Lao Deputy Minister of National Defense and Chief of the General Staff, receives the Corps 15 delegation.

During the visit, the delegation paid courtesy calls and conveyed New Year wishes to the General Department of Logistics of the Lao People’s Army, the Steering Committee for Cooperation and Development along the Laos - Vietnam border, the Steering Committee for Grassroots Political System Building and Comprehensive Rural Development, as well as local authorities and armed forces. The delegation also visited several production teams of Economic Cooperation Company 385 in Attapeu province.

On behalf of the Party Committee and Chain-of-Command of Corps 15, Senior Colonel Tran Ngoc Hai extended best wishes to Lao leaders, officers, soldiers, and people, and expressed appreciation for the support and effective coordination provided by Lao agencies and units in the Corps’ mission in Laos.

Corps 15’s leader noted that in 2025, despite difficulties, the corps successfully fulfilled its military and defense tasks in combination with socio-economic development, under the leadership of the Parties, States, and Ministries of National Defense of both countries and with close coordination from local authorities and people. Cooperation projects in Laos were implemented on schedule and effectively, contributing to maintaining political security and social order in border areas and strengthening the special Vietnam - Laos relationship.

Corps 15 delegation visits and extends New Year greetings, and presents gifts to the Muong Cham village cluster in Bolikhamsai province, Laos.

The delegation participates in the traditional wrist-tying ceremony on the occasion of Bunpimay in Laos.

Corps 15 also proposed that Lao agencies and units continue to facilitate its mission, enhance coordination in project implementation, particularly the Muong Cham village cluster project, and expand cooperation in human resource training and technology transfer.
