The Vietnamese delegation presents gifts to Cambodia's General Department of Military Services. |
On behalf of the Party Committee and Chain-of-Command of Corps 16, Deputy Commander of Corps 16 Senior Colonel Trinh Pham Hoa conveyed his best wishes to the general department’s personnel, expressing confidence that the traditional friendship between the two countries would continue to strengthen solidarity and cooperation between the two sides.
Lieutenant General Yong Mao, Deputy Chief of Cambodia’s General Department of Military Services, affirmed that the Cambodian people always value the sacrifices of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisors in the past, and expressed his belief that the traditional Cambodia - Vietnam relationship would continue to be strengthened in a sustainable manner for the benefit of both peoples. He also welcomed the visit and New Year greetings from the Corps 16 delegation, affirming continued close coordination to enhance solidarity and friendship between the two militaries.

Both sides agreed to enhance information exchange, closely assess and forecast situations, and coordinate in effectively handling emerging issues, while maintaining activities such as free medical check-ups, medicine distribution, and gift-giving for Cambodian armed forces and people, contributing to strengthening the traditional solidarity and friendship between the militaries and peoples of Vietnam and Cambodia.
Earlier, the Corps 16 delegation visited and extended New Year greetings to the Department of Development under the Cambodian Ministry of Defense.
On the same occasion, at Border Marker No. 42, Yok M’Bre Border Post of the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command, in coordination with the Party Committee and People’s Committee of Ea Bung commune, visited, extended New Year greetings, and presented gifts to border protection units of Mondulkiri province, Cambodia.

Leaders of Ea Bung commune and Yok M’Bre Border Post conveyed best wishes to Cambodian officers and soldiers, wishing the country continued prosperity and its people well-being and happiness. Representatives of the Mondulkiri border protection forces expressed appreciation for the goodwill and affirmed that they would continue to strengthen coordination in information exchange, crime prevention and control, and the management and protection of border and border markers, contributing to reinforcing solidarity, friendship, and cooperation between the two sides.
