Foreign Military Attachés gather for shooting competition
PANO – The Department of External Relations of the Ministry of National Defense, in concert with relevant agencies, organized a K-54 and AK-47 shooting competition for foreign military attachés in Vietnam at Mieu Mon National Training Center in Hanoi on December 6.
This is among a number of activities to celebrate the 73rd anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 28th anniversary of the Entire People’s Defense Festive.

Senior Colonel Nguyen Quang Vinh, Deputy-Director of the Department of External Relations, said the interaction is to practice gun-handling skills and also provides a networking opportunity for the participants to meet, exchange, and get to know each other better in work or life.
Accordingly, after watching shooting demonstration, 45 participants were divided into 9 teams to compete in two categories of K-54 and AK-47.
After the two-hour competition the three teams with the highest scores were awarded prizes.
Colonel Ton That Tuan, US Defense Attaché in Vietnam, on behalf of the Military Attaché Corp, thanked the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense and relevant agencies for organizing a successful and meaningful event, contributing to strengthening friendship and cooperation among the militaries.
