With thoughtful preparation of the two sides in all aspects, the exchange is expected to contribute to expanding practical cooperation activities between the two countries in the border area.

Ta Lung International Border Gate one day before the seventh Vietnam-China Border Defense Friendship Exchange.

On April 22, in Ta Lung townlet of Quang Hoa district, Cao Bang province, relevant forces of the Vietnamese side implemented final preparation for the exchange. At Ta Lung Friendship Cultural Center, groups of soldiers, military musicians, students and local people quickly practiced in the order and positions assigned.

At nearby Ta Lung International Border Gate, other forces also lined up to enter the final training session for the seventh Vietnam-China Border Patrol Exchange.

Previously, on April 7 and 8, a delegation of the Ministry of National Defense, led by Deputy Minister Sr. Lt. Gen. Hoang Xuan Chien, paid a working visit to Cao Bang province to inspect the preparation for the exchange. General Chien directly checked locations of the exchange program and assigned tasks to relevant forces.

The Department of Military Medicine under the General Department of Logistics has built a master plan to ensure healthcare, food safety and COVID-19 prevention and control according to regulations of the Ministry of Health.

In addition, one of the set requirements for the organizers is to run the program in accordance with new normal conditions in each localities, ensuring cost-saving and COVID-19 prevention and control.

According to Nong Thi Ha, Secretary of the Quang Hoa district Party Committee, local leaders directed functional agencies to implement decorations at places where activities of the exchange take place. Thanks to experience acquired from the previous exchange program, the local authorities actively fulfilled preparation for the event.

Along the street heading to Ta Lung International Border Gate in Ta Lung townlet, flags of the two countries, together with panels and posters were hung up in straight lines. Many upgraded and invested constructions such as Ta Lung Friendship Cultural Center or Ta Lung Square brought a new look for the locality.

After four years, the atmosphere of cooperation for renovation and development has returned to the border localities of Vietnam's Cao Bang province and China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The exchange is expected to accelerate practical and effective cooperation between the two border guard forces, the two authorities in the area and the two peoples, contributing to building a border of peace, friendship, stability, cooperation and development.
