Members of the team training for the upcoming event

They are now undertaking a special training course at the Research Institute for Military Supplies under the General Department of Logistics.

According to Colonel Nguyen Duong Hai, head of the Field Kitchen team, his teammates have followed a concrete plan to practice at different times of the day and in various weather conditions. As a result, their skills have been improved significantly after one-month of training, especially in shooting.

With the slogan “Eating Well, Winning Battles,” this year’s competition is divided into three stages: AK rifle shooting, cooking with random ingredients, and cooking with chosen ingredients from the organizing board.

At the previous event, Vietnamese competitors were good at AK rifle shooting with only three bullets. This year, they need to practice harder as they have to shoot 10 bullets at the target.

In addition to that, members of the team have physical training sessions everyday with a 1,500m run and single bar and double bar practice.

They also practiced cooking with various recipes and decorations as required by the games’ organizers.

Members of the team also practiced cooking Vietnamese traditional dishes in preparation for the exchange program themed “Culinary Artists.”

With high determination, the Field Kitchen team is trying their best to overcome hardship to fulfill their training course and be ready for the upcoming competition in Russia.
