The Vietnamese delegation was led by Defense Minister General Phan Van Giang while the Lao delegation was headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister General Chansamone Chanyalath and the Cambodian delegation was led by Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister General Tea Seiha.
The construction of the house was started on July 17 this year. The Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia border friendship cultural house has two floors and been designed following the architecture of the Vietnamese Central Highlands’ Rong house (a variation of the stilt-house unique to the Central Highlands).

Funded by the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense, this house is a symbol of solidarity, friendship and cooperation among the militaries and peoples of the three neighbors of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.
Later in the morning, the three defense minister visited Be Van Dan Primary School.

In his speech, General Phan Van Giang expressed his emotion when receiving flowers and a red scarf. He was delighted that the students are healthy, joyful, dynamic, and studying in an environment of love and care and that the school has gained many achievements and been built into a green, clean, and beautiful school.
The Vietnamese defense chief showed his happiness to learn that the local authorities and the school’s board of administrators have paid attention to the education of the traditional friendship and solidarity among Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. In addition, they have organized national-flag saluting at the tri-border marker and visited border protection forces for many years now.

Gen. Giang emphasized the special significance of the first Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia border defense friendship exchange which was held at the junction of the Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia borderline. He underlined that the special relationship and solidarity among Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia have been further consolidated and stronger than ever. This special and rare solidarity is the priceless asset that young generations of the three countries, including those from Be Van Dan Primary School, will continue to preserve and cultivate.
