The participation of the high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam aims to implement the common perception between the two countries' senior leaders, especially the Joint Statement on continuing to deepen and elevate the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, building a Vietnam-China community of shared future that carries strategic significance (in December 2023).

It also demonstrates Vietnam’s support and active participation in international multilateral activities hosted by the Chinese Ministry of National Defense, contributing to strengthening bilateral defense cooperation, and the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China.

In addition, the attendance of the high-ranking delegation of Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam in the event continues to affirm Vietnam's active and responsible role in international and regional issues.
