At the reception, General Giang held that the Vietnamese people would always treasure the support of the Mongolian people for their struggle for independence and freedom. Since the establishment of the diplomatic ties, the two countries have increasingly expanded their relationships in various walks of life, including defense cooperation. The host stressed that the two countries’ defense ministries signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to boost bilateral defense ties in 2013, thus he hoped the two militaries will continue to accelerate defense cooperation in line with their potential in such areas as personnel training, defense industry, military medicine, logistics and UN peacekeeping operations.
