He hoped that the visit of Minister Leopoldo Cintra Frias would contribute practically to expanding the bilateral defense ties and the traditional friendship between the two Parties, States, militaries and peoples.
The host also noted that the special Cuba-Vietnam relationship, nurtured by late President Ho Chi Minh and leader Fidel Castro, is an invaluable asset of the two Parties, States and peoples. Vietnam would always remember the wholehearted support of Cuba during the struggle for national independence in the past and the current national construction and defense cause.
During the talks, the two defense ministers informed each other of each side’s situations, shared international and regional issues of mutual concern, reviewed outcomes of the bilateral defense cooperation over the past time and agreed on further cooperation in the time to come.
