At the meeting

During the reception for the mission, the Naval Academy’s President Rear Admiral Nguyen Van Lam thanked the Cambodian officers for visiting the academy and briefed them on the academy’s establishment, development, missions, organization, education-training outcomes, and its orientation for building the school in the coming time.

The academy’s president also affirmed the two countries’ traditional ties of “Good neighbors, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term sustainability.”

For his part, Colonel Rem Kann thanked the host for the warm welcome. He highly appreciated the academy’s outcomes in cooperating and supporting the Royal Cambodian Navy in training.

The Cambodian officer also took the occasion to congratulate Vietnam’s Naval Academy on its achievements in education and training as well as in the building of a regular and modern academy.

After the working session with the academy’s Board of Directors, the mission visited Cambodian cadets who are studying at the academy’s Department for International Cadets.
