Under the decision of the Ministry of National Defense, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Doanh of the school will work as an operational staff officer at the UNISFA.

At the event, the school’s rector Senior Colonel Nguyen Quang Thien emphasized that this is the first time an officer of the school will undertake the U.N. peacekeeping duties. It is the honor and pride of Lt. Col. Nguyen Duc Doanh himself and the school in general to contribute to keeping world peace.

Col. Thien asked officer Doanh to promptly get used to the new working environment, coordinate with international colleagues and U.N. peacekeeping force’s commanding officers, promote solidarity, further train, and try his best to accomplish all assignments, thus spreading the good images of the Vietnam People’s Army.

The school’s official also requested the peacekeeping officer to strictly observe regulations of the U.N., the host country, and the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam and keep close contact with higher levels and functional agencies, as well as effectively prevent diseases and keep good fitness.

For his part, Lt. Col. Nguyen Duc Doanh expressed his honor to take on the duties which require an operational staff officer to have soft skills, professional expertise to deal with contingencies and meet other task requirements.

He confirmed his high determination to excellently fulfill assigned missions, promote the tradition of peace-loving of Vietnamese people, and promote good qualities and images of Vietnamese, Uncle Ho’s soldiers in international integration period, deserving the trust of the Party, State, and people.
