Australian and Vietnamese cadets gather for exchange activities
PANO – A delegation of eight Australian young officers and cadets from the Australian Department of Defense led by Captain Patrick O’Neill on Sept.28 started a six-day visit to Vietnam to attend exchange programs with Vietnamese cadets.
PANO – A delegation of eight Australian young officers and cadets from the Australian Department of Defense led by Captain Patrick O’Neill on Sept.28 started a six-day visit to Vietnam to attend exchange programs with Vietnamese cadets.
This annual activity aims at further promoting unity, mutual understanding and exchange between cadets and young officers of the two countries.

The delegation visited Vietnam’s Military Science Academy today and took part in various cultural and sports exchanges with Vietnamese military trainees and officers.
On behalf of the guests, Captain Patrick O’Neill expressed his deep impression on warm reception from Vietnam and said that the exchange program is a good opportunity for the Australian delegates to learn more about living, studying and training conditions in Vietnam’s military institutions.

The Australian delegation is scheduled to visit the Tank and Armoured Officer Training School and some famous landscapes in Vietnam during their Vietnam trip.
Earlier, Vietnam sent a delegation of young officers and cadets to attend the Foreign Academies Exchange Program, held at the Duntroon Royal Military College in Canberra, Australia from Sept. 19-27.
