Australia-sponsored English training course for Vietnamese officers concludes
PANO - The Signal Officers Training School on June 25 concluded an English training course conducted by Australian instructors in Khanh Hoa province. The closing ceremony saw representatives from the Australian Defense Attaché Office in Vietnam and the Center for Foreign Languages and Information Technology, and the trainees.
This is the second training course sponsored by the Australian side and it is part of the cooperation program on education and training between the two countries’ defense ministries. About 58 cadres, instructors and cadets of the schools and units in the Southern region participated in the course.
After five months, with the efforts and determination of lecturers and students, the course ended successfully. The trainees have made great progress in their English proficiency and skills and all of them met the set requirements.
Addressing the event, Major Paul Bender, representative of the Australian Defense Attaché Office in Vietnam, praised the Vietnamese side’s preparation for the course, including accommodations as well as teaching and learning equipment.
The course's success has contributed to strengthening cooperation in various fields between the two countries in general and the two armies in particular.
This is also an opportunity for the Signal Officers Training School to gain experience so it can effectively organize the next training courses.
