Army Games 2022: “Army of Culture” event closed in Russia

This year, the Vietnam People’s Army sent 16 troops to the “Army of Culture” event.  The team participated in two contests “Arts” and “Exhibition activities.”

At the ceremony, the organizing board awarded winners of the event. The Vietnamese military art troupe ranked second, behind Russia. Accordingly, the Vietnamese contingent had 11 works awarded, including five first prizes (duet, string instrument, male double dance, folk solo, Russian song singing), five second prizes (chamber solo, duet, folk dance, folk group dance and exhibition activities). In addition, the team also won a third prize in the group dance category.

During their time in Russia, the Vietnamese military art troupe also performed at a military unit of the Russian Ministry of Defense and at the lot-drawing ceremony of the “Tank Biathlon” event.

Especially, on August 20, the Vietnamese contingent joined an art performance in Moscow to serve the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia and Vietnamese expats living in the host country. The program was co-held by the Vietnamese Embassy, Vietnamese Defense Attaché Office and Vietnamese Association in Russia.
