Annual joint patrol of Vietnamese and Cambodian naval forces concludes
PANO – Ship 251 of Naval Region 5 of the Vietnam People’s Navy on March arrived at the region’s military port, successfully concluding the 46th annual joint patrol with their counterparts of the Royal Cambodian Navy.

During the activity, the two sides teamed up in preventing illegal activities in the joint patrol waters; protecting the maritime environment; exchanging signals; preventing drug trafficking, illegal immigration, weapons and explosives transport at sea; suppressing piracy, and conducting search and rescue.
Within the framework of the joint patrol, the naval troops of the two countries also practiced checking strange ships and semaphoring, and organized exchange activities at sea.
Thanks to careful preparations and close coordination, the 46th annual joint patrol of Vietnam’s and Cambodia’s naval forces ended successfully, contributing to protecting peaceful and stable environment in the two countries’ historical waters.
