Seventy-fifth Independence Day of the Republic of India observed
PANO - The Indian Embassy in Vietnam held a ceremony in Hanoi on August 15 to mark the 75th Independence Day of the Republic of India (August 15, 1947 - 2022).

The event was attended by Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Pranay Verma, Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu, and Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan.
Speaking at the celebration, Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Pranay Verma recalled the development of Vietnam - India relationship. The Indian diplomat said that the past 50 years have been a memorable journey as the two countries have always supported each other to overcome difficulties and pursue national development goals.
Despite the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Vietnam - India comprehensive strategic partnership has been consolidated. The two sides have regularly maintained high-level delegation exchanges and fostered cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, defense, and security.
In addition, the two countries have supported each other in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. These practical deeds demonstrate the long traditional friendship between Vietnam and India which have stood side by side in difficult times.
