The Nissan cars to be imported into the Vietnamese market will arrive in December this year, according to Flemming Eltang, CEO of the Nissan Vietnam Co., Ltd., a joint venture between Nissan Auto Co., Ltd. and the Denmark-based car distributor Kjaer Group A/S.
In the near future, the company will import five to seven seat models, such as the Tiida, X- Trail (T31), the Teana, the Pathfinder (R51), and the Patrol (Y61), in order to meet the demands of Vietnamese consumers.
In 2007, Kjaer Group A/S sold 518 Nissan cars of all makes in Vietnam. In November, 2008, the Vietnamese government also issued a license to allow Nissan Vietnam Co., Ltd. to import and distribute Nissan car parts in the country.
