The country aims to have at least 80 percent of all communes recognised as new-style rural areas by 2025, and all the remaining communes should achieve at least 15 criteria.

Addressing the conference, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Tran Thanh Nam urged the participants to discuss supplements and orientations for the program in the 2021-2025 period.

Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee Ha Sy Dong said the province will focus on restructuring the agricultural sector as part of building new-style rural areas. He noted that production development and higher income for the people are the factors that decide the success of the program.
