The fully-Japanese invested Yasaka Fruit Processing Limited Company reported that blue dragon fruit export to Japan market in recent months increased by 30 percent, compared to the same period last year.

The Deputy-Director of Yasaka Company, Nguyen Hong Hung, said that Vietnam is currently a leading nation in exporting blue dragon fruit since its first export to Japan market three years ago.

According to Nguyen Huu Dat, Director of the Plant Quarantine Centre, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, export volume of several kinds of Vietnamese fruits, including blue dragon, rambutan to hard-to-pleased markets remain stable.

Dat added that the Plant Quarantine Centre is cooperating with its counterparts in Taiwan, the USA and South Korea to export more fruits, such as mango, litchi to these markets.
