On November 15, the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel) revealed that more than 40 outstanding trainees of the freshly-ended Viettel Digital Talent program, the second edition, have been officially employed by the group.

In this year’s edition, trainees contributed more than 65 new initiatives and ideas to the group’s projects, three times higher than those in the previous edition.

According to the group, the organizing panel of this year’s program received more than 1,000 applications from information technology students nationwide in five fields, namely cloud computing, cyber security, data science & AI, Internet of Things, marketing.

One hundred and fifteen students were selected to be trained and engaged in key projects of Viettel’s affiliated units.

In six months, these trainees received instructions from more than 50 leading global experts in cloud computing, computer vision, malware, and application system security.

At present, 29.3% of Viettel employees are high-tech experts and 25% of Viettel cadres hold master and PhD degrees.

The group targets to become a leading talent hub, top Vietnamese enterprise, and listed in the Top 10 Asian enterprises by 2025.

The annual Viettel Digital Talent program was launched first in 2021 with the aim of unlocking young talents’ potential and developing their expertise.
