Of the ten Viettel’s awarded digital transformation products and projects, the Lumicash e-wallet of Lumitel - the brand name of Viettel in the Republic of Burundi, Africa, won a Gold in the category of “the Fastest Growing Product.” After its nearly one-year operation, the e-wallet has a large distribution system covering 86% of the territory of Burundi with 1.4 million active subscribers, accounting for 60% of the market share.

Meanwhile, ViettelPay, the digital payment application of Viettel Digital Services Corporation, was honored in the category “Best New Product or Service of the Year - Financial Services” and the digital application of Viettel Post Joint Stock Corporation won a Silver in the category “Business Application of the Year.”

The campaign “Shake the Amazing of Mytel” on smartphone launched by Mytel, a subsidiary of Viettel in Myanmar, was honored as the “Mobile Marketing Campaign of the Year.”

Other Viettel’s awards are “the Executive of the Year - Transportation” for Viettel Post’s CEO Tran Trung Hung, “Company of the Year - Transportation - Large size” for Viettel Post, “Best New Product or Service of the Year - Telecommunications - Product” for Ti5 product of Bitel, Viettel’s sub-brand in Peru, “Marketing Campaign of the Year - Internet/Telecom” for the brand refreshment of Metfone, Viettel’s brand name in Cambodia, and “Communications or PR Campaign of the Year - New Product or Service Launch” for the launch of Mytel, a Viettel’s brand name in Myanmar, “Communications Department of the Year” for Viettel Post’s Communication Department, and “Fastest-growing Company for the Year - in the Middle East and Africa” for Viettel Burundi S.A.

In his speech at the awards handover ceremony, Michael Gallagher, President of the IBA Stevie Awards emphasized that the awardees of the IBA Stevie Awards 2019, judged by 200 world’s leading experts in different fields, must be proud of what they have excellently recorded in their fields.
