The company’s impressive improvement on the list came from its active application of digital technology to its business activities, resulting in its remarkable growth in turnover and after-tax profits. According to Viettel Post’s financial statement, in the first nine months of last year, the company earned VND 5.073 trillion in turnover, up 57 percent, and gained after-tax profits of VND 226.3 billion, a year to year increase of 38 percent.

Tran Trung Hung, Viettel Post’s Deputy Head of the Board of Directors and General Director, said that to achieve the first position in the Top ten list, the company’s leadership was resolute in implementing major strategies in the 2017-2020 period. Though the company reached its goal one year early, it has still conducted a lot of work to firmly uphold its present position while meeting regional and international standards.

In 2019, the company provided customers with complete logistic services at an optimal cost. Therefore, its customers just had to concentrate on improving their sales activities. Moreover, it restructured its warehouse system throughout the country, developed order management and employed experienced personnel to meet the customers’ needs. It also gave top priority to the quality of service and tried its best to gain the highest prestige in delivery.

According to Vietnam Report, Vietnam now has over 4,000 companies specializing in transport and logistics, of which 88 percent are domestic companies; 10 percent are joint venture companies and the remaining are foreign ones. These companies are mostly based in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Top ten reputable companies in the transport and logistics industry are built on the principles of science and objectiveness. Companies are assessed and ranked based on three main criteria, including financial capacity shown in the latest financial statement; media credibility assessed by the Media Coding method - encoding press data; a study conducted in November 2019 on capital size, market, labor, turnover growth rate, profits, operation plan in 2019 and more.
