Viettel’s software is the only Vietnamese information technology product winning this award. Other winners of the award are Ooredoo (Qatar) with the world’s fastest 5G service, Singtel Shop Comcentre flagship store transformation of Singapore, and UMB Hospital Registration Solution of Telkom Indonesia (Indonesia) and more.

vOCS 3.0 has highly been appreciated by the jury thanks to its creativity  andimpacts on a large number of users as it can be individualized for each customer.

vOCS 3.0 is currently used in 11 countries Viettel is operating with 170 million mobile subscribers.

The software’s most distinctive feature is the ability to design a tariff package for each customer.

According to Ms. Clara Im, Communications Manager - Asia, of the Stevie Awards, vOCS 3.0 showed meticulosity of researchers and product developers and ability to handle reservation - a big telecommunications matter - of data service providers to integrate voice and data in a real-time charging system. She hoped to see a new business model taking advantage of this preeminent software.

Viettel is developing vOCS 4.0 on the basis of vOCS 3.0 with an addition of Cloud/NFV. Accordingly, vOCS 4.0 will offer features such as Mobile Virtual Network Operator, Network Slicing, and be ready to bill tariffs for IoT/5G subscribers.

Once vOCS 4.0 is completed, Vietnam will be among OSC producing countries which support virtualization technology that helps save costs, facilitate operation and open new business opportunities.

Viettel has sent bids to more than 30 network operators to export this version to the world market.

The International Business Awards have been held annually since 2003 with the aim of honoring achievements and active contributions of businesses and individuals worldwide to the community including information and communications technology and telecom sectors.

This year, the awards attracted more than 3,900 nominations from organizations and businesses in 74 countries.
