This year, the group has continuously been honored as the No.1 in the list of most prestigious IT-telecommunications companies in Vietnam. This is the sixth consecutive year Viettel has upheld this position in the rankings researched and evaluated by the Vietnam Report Joint-stock Company (Vietnam Report) according to Fortune 500’s international standard.

Viettel ranks first in the Top prestigious IT-telecommunications companies in Vietnam in six consecutive years.

The rankings were objectively assessed on the basis of criteria for the enterprise's capacities such as the business financial results report, its equity, the reputation in the media, the survey of research subjects and stakeholders from January to June 2023.

In the first six months of this year, Viettel was the enterprise that contributed the most to the growth of the information and communications industry with the revenue reaching VND 81 trillion, profit achieving VND 24.1 trillion, and state budget contribution of VND 21.6 trillion. Furthermore, it kept ranking the first in terms of mobile subscriber market share (53.8%).

In addition, Viettel pro-actively actualized the road-map to turn off the 2G signal in Vietnam, increasing the rate of 4G subscribers in the total number of subscribers to 78%. It also tested 5G services in 55 provinces and cities nationwide.

Attentively, Viettel achieved the growth rate of over 20% in foreign telecommunications services. Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Timor Leste, and Burundi were the group’s five overseas markets upholding their No.1 positions.

Also in this year, Viettel has conveyed the message “Technology with heart” to the public in a hope of using technology to solve problems, address challenges and social issues to bring a better life to the people. The group has been entrusted by ministries, departments and localities to carry out technology projects. Up to date, the enterprise has accompanied, made recommendations and actualized a number of digital transformation projects for ministry-run units, and Intelligence Operation Center (IOC) projects in many provinces and cities throughout the country.

Viettel has further partnered with major technology firms in the world, such as Microsoft, Qualcomm, and Nvidia in the fields of Cloud, Data, AI, and others to promote digital services in Vietnam.
