According to the report, the corporation posted VND 5,158 billion of turnover in the first quarter of this year, a year-on-year increase of 110 per cent. It gained VND 109 billion in post-tax profit, up by 12 per cent against the same period last year and reaching 22 per cent of this year’s profit plan.

Attentively, the company’s sales turnover increased by over 2.3 times while revenue from its services is up by 16 per cent.

The strong increase in sales turnover came from the sales of scratch cards and SIM cards by more than 300,000 shops transferred by the Viettel Telecommunications Corporation (Viettel Telecom).

Meanwhile, the growth of profit after tax is attributable to the corporation’s application of cost optimization measures and improved operation efficiency.

This year, Viettel Post plans to establish 360 digital post offices, make full use of its shops and sites selling telecom services and upgrade IT and automatic selection systems.
