Livestream to popularize farm produce |
Viettel Post trains farmers on Tiktok content creation, online store management, and livestream sales, while also handling logistics services, from collection and packaging to nationwide delivery. These activities empower people in remote areas to tell their product stories and engage customers online.
In the initial phase, 34 “digital farm produce shops” will be set up across 34 provinces and cities nationwide to showcase regional specialties with verified origins and quality. These stores are jointly operated by Viettel Post, Tiktok Shop, and departments of industry and trade and people’s committees of provinces and cities, creating a strong link between authorities, enterprises, and farmers.
After nearly three months, the hashtag #hanhtrinhnongsan has reached nearly 12 million views on Tiktok, making it one of the standout community campaigns of 2025. Livestream events in Thai Nguyen, Vinh Long, Bac Ninh, and now Lai Chau have helped sell hundreds of tons of farm produce and highlighted the image of tech-savvy Vietnamese farmers.
At the Binh Lu commune livestream, various local specialties, such as mien dong (canna vermicelli), mien khoai sam, Thanh Xuan honey, Seng Cu rice, sticky rice, tea, matcha cookies, were introduced to consumers nationwide.
As the lead organizer, Viettel Post was responsible for connecting parties, reviewing and selecting OCOP products, and coordinating with local authorities and content creators to develop the program. The company also provided logistics solutions, e-commerce, and media infrastructure, mobilizing over 20,000 employees to spread Lai Chau’s agricultural value and brand across Vietnam. The livestream was conducted on Viettel’s 5G network, ensuring high-quality and stable connections in the mountainous region.

Binh Lu’s traditional mien dong craft village
The mien dong (canna vermicelli) craft was introduced to Binh Lu in the 1970s and has since become a traditional local trade. The product is made entirely from pure dong rieng (canna edulis) roots without additives or bleaching agents, dried naturally under the sun for its signature elasticity. It has become a key product driving the commune’s rural economy.
Having two traditional craft villages recognized in 2014, Binh Lu commune now has about 106 hectares of dong rieng fields, yielding over 5,300 tons annually. Local authorities guide farmers to maintain production quality and protect the brand, moving toward digital agriculture development.
Developing Binh Lu male papaya flower industry
An Bay Cooperative in Hoa Van village, Binh Lu commune, manages a 10-hectare area cultivating male papaya flowers, a unique local crop creating jobs and income for local residents. Its main products, dried and honey-soaked papaya flowers, have achieved 3-star OCOP certification. The cooperative also integrates agro-tourism, allowing visitors to explore the plantation, production process, and local culture, promoting Lai Chau’s agricultural image.
To boost digital skills, Viettel Lai Chau and Ban Mo Commune People’s Committee organized a training course on “Applying AI in local administration and dissemination.” Participants learned to use AI tools for document writing, reporting, media production, and product promotion. Viettel Lai Chau representatives emphasized that such training was essential for digital transformation, helping officials manage, communicate, support locals more effectively. It was part of Viettel’s broader program supporting local digital government, digital economy, and digital society.
