The practical event aimed to help local troops, youths and students to deeply understand national seas and islands, thus raising their national patriotism, love for national seas and islands as well as their responsibilities for national construction and protection of national sovereignty over seas and islands. It also strengthened civilian-military solidarity.
Through the contest, students from Thach Loi Secondary School learnt about legal documents on national sovereignty over seas and islands, the Law on the Vietnam’s Coast Guard as well as missions, traditions and achievements of the coast guard force. They also studied the dangers of drug and school violence and were equipped with measures to prevent them.
