During its ten decades of development, Ba Son Corporation has been a place that witnessed numerous revolutionary activities. Standout was the strike on August 4, 1925 of Ba Son Trade Union, led by Comrade Ton Duc Thang, which carried profound political and international significance.

During the resistance wars for national independence and national reunification, the corporation always played a key role in promoting maritime capability. In the nation’s renewal process, it has developed and implemented a number of effective policies and solutions, demonstrated its resilience, wisdom and creativity, and excelled in building a range of modern military vessels.
In his speech, Gen. Nam congratulated and praised Ba Son Corporation for its outstanding achievements and remarkable growth. He urged it to continue embracing and realizing the Party, State and military’s policies and guideline defense industry development and combination of economic development with defense consolidation.
The defense leader also asked the company to pro-actively develop development strategies that meet both intermediate and long-term requirements. In addition, it should foster a spirit of innovation, enhance capabilities in terms of researching, designing and building modern military vessels, step-by-step master core technologies, and deepen integration into the global defense industry supply chain.

He also stressed the importance of boosting trade promotion efforts, effectively supporting defense and military missions, upholding the corporation’s reputation and brand, and strengthening international cooperation and market expansion. He called for greater attention to the development of human resources, particularly highly skilled engineers and technicians in ship research, design, building, and maintenance.
At the event, Ba Son Corporation was honored to receive the First-class Fatherland Protection Order, along with a flag and a certificate of merit from the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, and gifts from leaders of the General Department of Defense Industry.
