Earlier, in August 2022, Viettel and the university signed a cooperation agreement. In September 2022, Viettel started to carrying out the digital maturity assessment at the school, gathering the leading experts in digital transformation surveying six categories, including customers, strategy, technology, operations, culture, and data.
The military business, together with the school, has surveyed more than 20 functional departments. Basing on Viettel’s criteria to evaluate digital transformation and the opinions of experts and scientists, the project has been completed with the product “Report on the assessment of digital maturity at UFM.”
Addressing the event, Lieutenant Colonel Doan Dai Phong, Deputy Head of Viettel Solutions Corporation underscored that universities are considered big enterprises and affected by digital transformation. According to the survey and target of UFM, Viettel handed over documents assessing digital maturity of the university, showing high determination of the school in performing the digital maturity assessment. The coordination between Viettel and UFM will promote education and training as well as raise the quality of personnel, helping enterprises overcome challenges in the current context.
According to Assoc. Prof., Dr. Pham Tien Dat, UFM Director, its success in digital transformation has contributed to promoting its status and become an example in the field of higher education in Vietnam. The digital maturity assessment will help the school determine strategic goals in the coming time, while implementing digital transformation program to meet all set targets from now to 2030, with a vision to 2045.
